Reflexology is a gentle, yet powerful, art of applying pressure to specific points on the feet and in some instances on the hands. Reflexology‘s, primary aims, are to:
- Reduce stress and induce deep relaxation;
- Improve circulation;
- Cleanse the body of toxins and impurities;
- Balance the whole system in body, mind and emotion;
- Revitalize energy to leave you feeling together;
- Works as a preventative health care by relieving stress, fatigue and the added strain on the immune system.
How Reflexology Has Helped Others
Sciatic Pain Releif
I was contacted by a gentleman who had been suffering from extreme Sciatic pain for around 18 months. The Sciatic pain had been brought on by spending several hours a day in his car and poor position whist seated at his laptop. So I suggested a weekly course of Reflexology, 3 to start with.
At his treatment, he was in so much pain with his back, he found it difficult to even raise his legs into position. I hadn't realised just how badly he'd been suffering. However, once relaxed, I began the treatment. He found it easy to relax and soon dozed off. Once his treatment was complete he felt energised and went home feeling extremely 'light' and 'floaty'.
Due to a number of scheduled meeting, he was unable to met up with me for 3 week, but he told me that, after he'd had his treatment, he arrived home and went straight to bed, slept through until morning (which he never did) and got up, pain free, in the morning. Half expecting the pain to return, he was shocked to find that after nearly 3 weeks, he still had no pain,
or even a twinge. He had a couple of 'top up' treatments and he thanked me for my help. Some 3 years on he hasn't had a
problem.
Sometimes by relaxing the hip area through an indirect method such as Reflexology, the Sciatic nerve can be released from being trapped, which is what causes the sharp pain. Reflexology can be extremely effective for lower back pain, such as Sciatica.

Relieving MS Symptoms
A client of mine was using Reflexology on a weekly basis to relieve the symptoms of MS to great affect. Often her muscles would go into spasm and she would experience a 'jolt' through her body.
I recall whilst in a Reflexology session with her, this jolting sensation being extremely heightened and she was having uncontrollable twitches. She was experiencing this right at the beginning of her treatment, so I ensured I spent plenty of time on her nervous system by stimulating the brain reflexes. Within a couple of minutes, the twitching ceased and she became relaxed.
After the session I showed her husband the reflexes I worked and now, whenever she has a relapse, he is now in a position to help her calm the twitching.
