What Are The Chakra's?
The chakras were first discovered around three to four thousand years ago by the Indian yogis. In a similar way the Chinese mapped out the meridians used in acupuncture, the yogis, through meditation and thorough examination of their internal energy systems, mapped out the chakras. The chakras are the cross over points of some of the 72,000 energetic pathways that flow through our body. In Sanskrit, the word chakra means disc. This is because where the pathways cross, they create a swirl of energy, just like a disc. There are 6 main chakras that run up the spine, starting at the tailbone, with a 7th sitting just above the crown of the head.
Quantum physics has shown that matter is energy. Therefore, humans are energetic beings with their own vibration and energy imprint, partially made up from how the chakras perform. If there is an imbalance in the chakra, this can affect the personality and how we relate to others and ourselves. I will go into more detail about this later in each of the chakra sections.
Each chakra has it's own personality traits, associated colour, sense, age, aura level, gland, etc. Each chakra page provides you with a quick reference guide, plus hints and tips on how to go about self healing.
